About TFRI: Tropical Forest Research Institute is an Education and Reseach Institute and located at Jabalpur in the State of Madhya Pradesh. The Tropical Forest Research Institute was established in 1988 and works under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change. The institute has advanced in terms of infrastructure as well as specialized itself as a major nucleus for research on forestry and ecology-related problems of tropical forests of the central region comprising of the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
